New Boats for 2007
Posted
30th May 2007
All the manufacturers have been busy over the winter to bring you some fantastic new boats for the 2007 season. This list contains a few of them, but please visit www.canoesandkayaks.co.uk or one of our shops to find out more.
Novacraft Pal Canoe
The PAL is another classic design from Nova Craft Canoe. They have been faithful to the lines of the original to produce a modern canoe that is indeed a pleasure to paddle. A perfect blend of stability, tracking and glide makes the PAL a winner for day trips or more on all types of flat water and gentle moving water with moderate loads.
Pyranha Speeder - Fitness
The Speeder is for paddlers who cannot always find a big surf wave close by but who still want to get out on the water! Some days you just fancy running rapids on a river with a bit of speed and want to blast over the wave trains. Some days you just like to go for a long paddle to balance that intake of beer and chips.
Pyranha Ammo - Large - Whitewater
The Pyranha Ammo is a boat with many uses. Some will play in it, some will run tight technical lines in it and some will do some real new stuff! Whatever you use it for its short length, tight carving rails and plentiful volume will provide a super responsive river running package that will boof and run lines you thought you'd never make. Its flat hull will still surf and carve up a wave too so it's the true all-round river freerider!
Dagger Agent - Whitewater
The Agent's hull design allows paddlers to make quick edge to edge transitions, while maintaining hull speed. The rocker profile makes for explosive bounce and huge wave moves. Traditional playhole moves as well as aerial and combination sequences are the Agent's strengths as a result of its precisely distributed volume and slicey ends.
Stearns Pivot - Inflatable Kayak
An inflatable kayak for the more adventurous paddlers. The White Water Stearns offers similar performance to a rigid kayak in an extremely well thought out design. Very maneuverable this is ideal for surfing or running rapids
Northshore Sea Kayaks
Established in the early eighties North Shore has always been a company happy to plot its own course. The company ethos is a simple one; to develop and produce innovative yet practical designs thoroughly tested in real world conditions, by real world paddlers.
Islander Strike - Fishing Sit On Top
The Strike is a dedicated fishing sit-on-top, It has the advantage of a pontoon hull which makes it extremely stable to fish from - perfect for stand up casting.
Mirage Outback - Hobie - Is it a kayak?
Here's how the Mirage Drive actually works: you pedal by stepping alternately left and right, not unlike an exercise stepper, to drive two underwater flippers. They work much like a penguin's fins to propel the Hobie Mirage with surprising speed and ease. All of which lets you go into kayaking. Feet first. Steering? The Hobie Mirage steering controls are positioned at arm's length, giving precise control of the twist and stow rudder.
Synergy 14 Angler - Mad River
New dry design with no Sit on top drain holes to let the water in. Revolutionary design combining the sit in canoe shape with the Sit on top stability, buoyancy and ease of use. Plenty of storage space. Standard Features: Molded seat with adjustable back rests Scotty rod holder, bungees Rod/paddle park bungees w/quick-release tabs Comfort-carry handles.
Prowler Big Game - Ocean Kayak
With a wider seat well, comfortable seat back and stern stingers to carry volume in the rear of the boat, the Prowler Big Game is BIG on stability and comfort. Plenty of storage space, and a redesigned drainage system for a drier ride, make the Big Game perfect for going after the 'big one'.
