Brookbank Canoes & Kayaks are delighted to announce the launch of the 'Brookbank Master Classes' in association with Canoe & Kayak UK magazine. These key note lectures/presentations will be held at the new Brookbank paddling superstore located in Waltham Abbey, North London. WATERSHED MOMENTS highlights Becky's life in and around canoes and her passion for them. She will take you on a journey to the rivers, lakes and swamps of her favourite boreal forest rivers and share her adventures and her love for these places. You will also see the land through an artist's eye as Becky recounts how canoeing and the wilderness can nourish the creative soul and continue to inspire her as a visual artist. Her slide show focus is a thought provoking mix of story telling, environmental loves and concerns and Canadian canoe lore.
Intermingled with her slide show Becky will have video footage from her video Classic Solo Canoeing and she will be sharing highlights of the best of the best of Justine Curgenven new canoeing compilation set. "This is Canoeing".
Becky acquired her paddling skills and her love for canoes from her Dad, Bill Mason, the author and filmmaker of the Path of the Paddle series. She enjoys continuing the family tradition of sharing her love of paddling by teaching canoeing using her unique hands-on instructional technique she calls Classic Solo Canoeing. Becky will be talking about her own canoeing experiences and showing clips of Justine Curgenven's "This is Canoeing" and introducing the UK to the Canadian paddlers featured in it - including Becky herself.
